What is Collaborative Discussions?
Collaborative discussions is
experiences where students use an online platform to interact with peers by
posting thoughts or comments in response to a given topic or in response to
comments made by classmates; participation is assessed individually.
How to do Collaborative Discussions?
In this week, we have an assigment to do collaborative
discussion with follow steps below :
- Create a group that consist of five people
- Determine the topic of discussion
- Invite all members to platforms that has provided, we using G-Mail and Google Drive as platforms of discussion
- Choose who be as initiator ( have a job to open the work plan, giving the identity of the grub, giving exposure to the material or introduction, and inviting Mr. Kurniawan as supervisor ), as ouline manager ( have a job to convey the outline of the material (title) that would be explained ), as contain manager ( have a job to typing the framework and explaining all the material ), and as editor ( to re-analyze and correct if there are errors in the type of discussion, both errors in structuring texts, writing, vocabulary, etc.)
- Save and share to another members
- after all done we must wait feedback from Mr.Kurniawan
below is a picture of the tasks we have made :
In my experience using this
collaborative discussion study method is that I feel more easier to work on
group assignments that require the right division of tasks, besides improve our
expertise in using computers and software in it, also it saves time and money,
saves time meaning without face to face we can immediately create a discussion
wherever and whenever, it is more efficient and effective for me.
