What is word processor?
is a software program capable of creating,
storing, and printing typed documents. Today, the word processor is one of the
most frequently used software programs on a computer, with Microsoft Word being
the most popular word processor.
Word processors can be used to create
multiple types of files, including text files (.txt), rich text files (.rtf),
HTML files (.htm & .html), and Word files (.doc & .docx). Some word
processors can also be used to create XML files (.xml).
Features of a word processor
Unlike a basic plaintext editor, a word
processor offers dozens of additional features that can give your document or
other text a more professional appearance. Below is a listing of some of the

- Text formatting - Changing the font, font size,
font color, bold, italicizing, underline,
etc.
- Copying, cutting, and pasting - Once
text has been entered into a documented it can be copied or cut and

In this meeting, Mr.Dedy taught us about
word processor , and to be honest there are lot of things that i don’t know
before like adding comments, make some paperwork with unique easier way, using
thesaurus and several function of options.
Mr.dedy
gave an assigment to assess 2 other people's worksheets in Microsoft
word by implementing the steps learned as follows
*How to adding some comments :
- Select the text or item that you want to comment on,
or click to insert the cursor near the text that you want
to comment on.
- On the Review tab, under Comments,
click New.
- Type the comment text in the comment balloon.
With this assignment,I learned a lot
about word processors, especially the use of Microsoft Word, which still has
many functions and uses that I don't know such as adding comments, using
thesaurus and other optional functions.
And I complete understand on
using Word Processor for English language learning, particularly on:
- Using Language Tools (Grammar checker, spell
checker, thesaurus, etc)
- Using Reference Tools
- Using Review Tools
